Iljuwas Bill Reid: Life & Work

Commissioned by the Art Canada Institute (ACI), this digital publication is an original work from leading Indigenous arts scholar, Gerald McMaster. The visually stunning e-publicatoin celebrates Bill Reid as a critical contributor to the evolution of Canadian Art History and details his 50-year journey of artistic creation and writing that gave voice to his vision and the cultural issues of his day.

 

As a companion to the book, the Arts Canada Institute has also developed a Teacher Resource Guide aimed at Grade 9-12 students. The Teacher's Guide focuses on the theme “Ways of Knowing” through three thematic activities:  Learning Through Objects and Tools; Learning Through Making; and Learning Through Land and Community.
