Grants to catalyze community-university impact
SFU’s Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) offers small grants of up to $10,000 to SFU staff and faculty for projects developed with community partners that strengthen relationships and have meaningful impact.
The 2018-19 competition is now closed. We'd like to thank all applicants (and your partners) for your sophisticated, courageous and innovative project proposals – the committee was struck by the breadth of ambitious work going on at SFU.
If you'd like to get updates about the next round of CEI funding, please sign up for our CEI Newsletter.
- 2019-06-28 — We've updated our list of funded project proposals with this year's winning submissions. We'll be slowly updating content on this website to reflect some of the feedback we received from those of you who applied (thank you!)
- 2019-04-25 — The 2018-19 Call for Proposals is now closed. We received over 50 submissions, and look forward to communicating with applicants in mid-May. If you'd like to stay in the loop, please make sure you've signed up for the CEI newsletter.
