Featuring Margie Carter & Deb Curtis
Friday April 7 & Saturday April 8, 2017
SFU Childcare Society is hosting an Early Childhood Educator conference focused on providing in-depth learning experiences for infants and toddlers.
With facilitators Margie Carter and Deb Curtis, you will be supported to grow as a teacher researcher, with inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach and pedagogical documentation on real-life encounters with children. Together we will consider research from recent insights in early years neuroscience and sensory motor development.
Collaboration is essential for teacher researchers, and we encourage you to attend with another member of your centre. You will be working at tables in “communities of practice” with a facilitator who teaches at SFU Childcare Society.
SFU Childcare Society is well-known in the ECE community for its quality programming in a beautiful natural setting on Burnaby mountain; SFUCCS operates 7 Infant/Toddler programs from a total of 15 childcare programs. A tour of our facilities is available as part of the conference.
A selection of Harvest Resources books, CDs, and DVDs will be available for purchase; cheques and cash (CAD) preferred.
Please be aware that cancellations are subject to a 10% administration fee, and can only be issued before March 17, 2017.
