Marnie McGregor

GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT CONSULTANT WORKING WITH MAYORS AND MUNICIPALITIES

Marnie is an urban affairs advisor providing government, non-profit and private sector clients in North America and Europe with government relations, stakeholder, communications and funding strategies and products. She focuses on urban sustainability and climate action, bringing national and international coalitions and networks together to advocate for local solutions to global issues.

She is an Ad-hoc Validated Expert with URBACT supporting local authorities and other stakeholders in designing and delivering integrated and participatory sustainable urban mobility policies.

In 2019, Marnie was part of the inaugural European Union Climate-KIC Greece Pioneers into Practice Leadership Programme, and volunteers with The HOME Project — a Greek non-profit organization providing shelter for refugee children.

She was the first Director of Intergovernmental Relations & Strategic Partnerships with the City of Vancouver, where she was part of the COP 21 Paris Climate Conference delegation led by Mayor Gregor Robertson.

Marnie has a Master of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto, and divides her time between Vancouver, Canada and Athens, Greece.
