Shari Virjee Tañada
Shari has several years' experience as an educational consultant in Canada and Asia, facilitating experiential learning to a wide range of audiences, collaborating on transformational projects and delivering meaningful outcomes.
With the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Shari served as Program Coordinator for the Semester in Dialogue: The Future of Healthcare. Prior to this, she served as a Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Strategist for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), providing SFU undergraduate and graduate students a professional learning opportunity to discuss equity, diversity and inclusion issues in their work and learning contexts. She now works with Fraser Health Authority (beside SFU Surrey campus) serving as EDI Education Facilitator within the EDI/Diversity Services division.
Among other things, Shari is enthusiastic about media literacy, multiliteracies pedagogy, and how we can teach technology to learn.
Shari holds a BA in Sociology and Master of Educational Technology from UBC, and is an alumnus of the Asia Pacific Management Cooperative Program (apmcp) from Capilano University.
