Associate Professor of Professional Practice

Research Interests

Dr. Domene is a scholar-practitioner whose two primary research interests are (a) the relational contexts of career development/career counselling, and (b) professional practice in counselling and counselling psychology in Canada (including the integration of technology into practice). Dr. Domene uses a variety of different research methods to pursue his program of research. His program of research has been supported by 39 grants (21 as PI) from totalling ~$3.5 million from various institutional, provincial, national, and international sources of funding, including the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Canada Institutes of Health Research. He prefers to conduct research collaboratively with both students and colleagues, as reflected in the co-authored nature of most of his publications.
