Office and archives of the Société historique francophone de la Colombie-Britannique set to open
The Société historique francophone de la Colombie-Britannique is set to open its new office and archives in early January. Maurice Guibord (MA, 2013), President of the Société, says that the new space will house the 200 cases of archival documents and 1200 books that make up the SHFBC collection. "The archives is comprised of fonds from various Francophone organizations, businesses and families, and includes photos, manuscripts and printed materials," Guibord reports. "After the major task of cataloguing is completed, the Archives will be opened to the public for research purposes."
