Open University of Sri Lanka - Capacity Enhancement Project (OUSL-CE) (2005-2008)
The purpose of the project was to increase capacity at the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) to meet the growing demand for access to quality higher education relevant to the needs of youth and adults throughout Sri Lanka.
Drawing upon SFU’s extensive experience and expertise in the design, development and delivery of media-enhanced online learning, a team of eight SFU specialists and five experts from Sri Lanka worked with OUSL faculty and staff to:
- develop systems, courses and instructional methodology
- improve OUSL operational efficiency and effectiveness through new administrative and support services
- improve the quality of course materials and instructional delivery through professional development of faculty and staff.
