2023 James Clark Undergraduate Award Recipient - Christina Salvador
Congratulations to Christina Salvador for receiving this year’s James Clark Undergraduate Award!
Christina is completing her final year of study at SFU where she is pursuing a major in Political Science and a double minor in Labour Studies and Indigenous Studies. She is a student, an artist, and a worker hoping to eventually begin a career as a high school Social Studies teacher. Outside of school and work, you are likely to find her painting, hiking, or skateboarding.
“Receiving this award is truly an honour. I want to extend my sincerest thanks to the donors for their extreme generosity, and to Professor Harter for his nomination and continued support. As an aspiring educator, I look forward to sharing what I have learned about the tremendous importance of labour rights, working-class activism, and Canadian history with future generations.”
A number of awards are available each year to students in the Labour Studies Program. To learn more or to apply, visit our Awards and Funding page.
