Thinking of Transferring to SFU’s Labour Studies Program?
SFU’s Labour Studies program welcomes students transferring from other post-secondary institutions. Depending on your previous coursework and transfer credits, you may be eligible to enter our program at the upper-division level, as long as you’ve taken the appropriate lower-division courses. Read on for more information about transferring to SFU and planning your degree.
Important Notes
- Upon transferring to SFU, you will technically be “undeclared.” However, as soon as you have been accepted into SFU and have fulfilled the declaration requirements for our program, you can email saadvise@sfu.ca to declare your LBST program.
- Please refer to the BC Transfer Guide to check course transfer agreements between BC institutions.
- The institutions listed in the BC Transfer Guide are not the only places you can transfer from. If you are transferring from another post-secondary institution, please refer to the SFU Admissions page for more information.
- You may transfer up to 60 units from your previous institution to use toward your SFU degree.
- For elective and breadth course planning, please contact the LBST advisor after you have transferred.
