RETURN TO CAMPUS

RETURN TO CAMPUS INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR LEADERS

SFU will be offering a series of Return to Campus information sessions over the summer to support academic leaders, managers and supervisors as they transition their teams back to campuses in July and August. These one-hour sessions, on subjects like workplace accommodation, transitioning teams back and parking, will run primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each session will be hosted on Zoom by a subject-matter expert. The sessions will be small and informal so there will be an opportunity to get questions answered.

We have introduced a new process for the accommodation of workplace limitations associated with protected characteristics under the Human Rights Code, other than physical or mental disability. This process includes a new application and centralized accommodations committee.

For more information, visit the Workplace Accommodation Procedures page or attend the information session on July 15.

With SFU readying for its return to campus, special attention is being paid to the university’s heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. By ensuring an adequate supply of fresh air in classrooms and across other areas of the university, SFU can be prepared for the safe return of faculty, staff and students.
