Fall 2026 Postdoctoral Appreciation & Welcome Dinner

Welcome, new and returning postdoctoral fellows! Join the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation and the Postdoctoral Association for our annual Welcome & Orientation Social on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026. This is your opportunity to connect with the community and discover key resources designed to support your success at SFU.

This year, we have invited Dr. Elicia Maine, Associate Vice President, Knowledge Mobilization and Innovation, who will give you a warm welcome and introduce you to the innovation and entrepreneurship support climate at SFU for researchers. We have also invited speakers to give an overview of dedicated services, including an immigration information session led by Alina Romans, Manager of Immigration Services, as well as an introduction to Library resources from Julie Jones, Research Commons Librarian. You’ll also hear from your PDA presidents and have a chance to meet other colleagues.
