Tell us about your research and why you find it fascinating:

My research explores how airborne bacteria survive extreme conditions, remain active, and interact with trace gases such as methane. I am fascinated by how these overlooked organisms influence climate processes while moving between ecosystems. At SFU, I value combining molecular biology with large-scale bioinformatics and mentoring the next generation of scientists.
