Fall term courses start September 6, 2023; last day of exams is December 18, 2023.

Classes: add/swap/change tutorial
| Wednesday, September 6 | Fall term classes start. |
| Tuesday, September 12 | Last day to add classes, swap classes, change tutorials using goSFU. Last day to enrol or change to audit by the department offering the course. |
| Tuesday, September 19 | Last day to enrol for class challenge or switch your challenge from one class to another or regular enrolment in a class, with permission of the department. (You can’t withdraw from class challenge without substituting a regular class.) |
| Tuesday, September 26 |
Last day to add classes through the department, with permission of the chair and instructor. Last day to change tutorials through the department. |

Last day to completely withdraw from all classes with no notation on your academic record. |
| Tuesday, September 19 |
Last day to drop a class using goSFU, without a withdrawal notation of “WD” for the course on your academic record. If withdrawing from all classes, a withdrawal notation of “Withdrew YYYY-MM-DD” will be added to your academic record. |

Last day to drop a class using goSFU, with a withdrawal notation (WD) on your academic record. |

| Tuesday, August 1 | Deadline to pay fall Residence fees. www.sfu.ca/students/residences/fees/payment-methods.html. A 2% monthly interest charge will be assessed after the tuition due date (September 20, 2022) and on the first of each month thereafter. |
| Tuesday, September 19 | Deadline to pay tuition and student fees. See How to Pay, and note it takes up to five business days for your payment to be received and show in goSFU. A 2% monthly interest charge will be assessed after the due date and on the first of each month thereafter. |
| Friday, October 20 | Deadline to pay Co-op Practicum fees. |

| Tuesday, September 12 | Last day to drop a class for 100% refund of tuition. For Mandatory Supplementary Course Fee refunds, please check with the department/faculty regarding the specific deadline. |
| Tuesday, September 19 | Last day to drop a class for 75% refund of tuition. Last day for a refund of student fees (Student Services, Recreation-Athletics, and Student Activity). A 2% monthly interest charge will be assessed on the outstanding balance after tuition deadline and on the first of each month thereafter. |
| Tuesday, September 26 | Last day for 50% refund of tuition. No refund of student fees. A 2% monthly interest charge will be assessed on the outstanding balance after tuition deadline and on the first of each month thereafter. |
| Wednesday, September 27 | No refund for courses dropped. A 2% monthly interest charge will be assessed on the outstanding balance after tuition deadline and on the first of each month thereafter. |

If you have not enrolled in direct deposit, refund cheques requested for overpayment (which are not related to scholarships and bursaries*) are available for pickup at Burnaby campus, unless payment has been made by personal cheque (which require a 45 day clearance period). See Fees: Refunds. |

Early deadline to apply and pay for the early application fee on goSFU for graduation in June 2024 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in the Fall 2023 term. Note that the graduation fee will be charged for each degree, diploma and certificate for which you are applying. |
| Friday, December 15 | Final deadline to apply and pay for the regular application fee on goSFU for graduation in June 2024 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in the Fall 2023 term.
