Entrance Bursaries

Fairfax Entrance Bursary

You may receive up to two payments per academic year for five consecutive years. Payments that are not used do not carry forward to the next academic year.

Payment One:

To receive the first payment, you must:

  • have achieved an average of at least 90% in your graduating year at a Canadian High School;
  • be enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility (minimum 9 SFU units); and
  • be pursuing your first undergraduate degree.

Payment Two, Onwards:

 To receive the second and subsequent payments, you must:

  • be in good academic standing with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
  • be enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility (minimum 9 SFU units); and
  • be pursuing your first undergraduate degree.

The bursary is not payable during co-op terms.

You will become ineligible for all future funding from this entrance bursary if you do not attain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 at the completion of each academic year, or if you did not enroll full time in at least two terms in the previous academic year, or if you have completed your first undergraduate degree.

Gilhooley Family Entrance Bursary in Business

You may receive up to two payments, one in Fall term and one in Spring term, per academic year for five consecutive years. Payments that are not used do not carry forward to Summer term or the next academic year.

Payment One:

To receive the first payment, you must:

  • meet the competitive admission evaluation on final grades from high school;
  • be enrolled full-time (minimum of 9 SFU units); and
  • be pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Beedie School of Business.

Payment Two, Onwards:

 To receive the second and subsequent payments, you must:

  • be enrolled full-time (minimum of 9 SFU units); and
  • be pursuing a bachelor's degree in the Beedie School of Business.

The bursary is not payable during co-op terms.

You will become ineligible for all future funding from this entrance bursary if you do not enroll in any units for three consecutive terms, or once you complete your undergraduate degree in the Beedie School of Business, or if you change programs.

Alan and Margaret Eyre Entrance Bursary in Business

You may receive up to two payments per academic year for four consecutive years. Payments that are not used do not carry forward to the next academic year.

To be eligible for a payment, you must:

  • be enrolled full-time (minimum 9 SFU units);
  • continue to demonstrate financial need as requested; and
  • be majoring in an undergraduate degree in the Beedie School of Business.

The bursary is not payable during co-op terms.

You will become ineligible for all future funding from this entrance bursary if you do not enroll in any units for three consecutive terms, or once you complete your undergraduate degree in the Beedie School of Business, or if you change programs.

CKNW Orphan's Fund Bursary
