We've compiled a list of the most popular options you and your student can look at to help pay for university:
Documentation That May Be Required:
Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Children's Benefit
The CPP Children's Benefit provide monthly payments to the dependent children of disabled or deceased CPP contributors.
To apply for the CPP Children's Benefit for students aged 18 to 25 in full-time or part-time attendance at SFU, first time applicants must complete the CPP Child's Benefit Application and Declaration for a student over 18 years of age in Attendance at School or University and include a Confirmation of Enrolment letter that can be generated by students through their goSFU dashboard.
Students that need to renew their CPP Children's Benefit will need to upload their Confirmation of Enrolment letter through their My Service Canada Account (MCSA).
BC Provincial Scholarships
BC Provincial scholarships include the following: BC Achievement, District/Authority Scholarships, BC Excellence, Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarships, Graduation Program Examination Scholarships.
BC Provincial scholarships can be redeemed online or in person by visiting any one of our Registrar and Information Services offices.

Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)
Many RESP providers will accept the SFU Confirmation of Enrolment letter generated through the goSFU portal. If you require a letter and/or account summary for a RESP withdrawal, see the following pages for instructions:
If your RESP provider has a specialized form that needs to be completed, bring the form to the Registrar and Information Services Office at any campus for completion.
