Students receiving external financial aid are encouraged to refer donors to this webpage for information on how to send their cheques/EFTs to SFU.

How to send funds to SFU

| Cheque | Please make cheques payable to SFU and mail to: SFU Financial Aid and Awards Please include the student's full name and SFU ID#. If there are additional requirements, please include a letter. |
| Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) | Please refer to the PDF for banking details. Prior to sending the EFT over, please email donation@sfu.ca with the following information:

Information for students
If the cheque is payable to SFU, it will be applied to your SFU account.
If students have scholarship/award cheques payable to SFU, please drop off the cheque in person at the Registrar and Information Services (RIS) Front Counter at Burnaby campus.
If the cheque is payable to you (the student), our office will mail you the cheque once the student confirms their address.
General processing times
Cheques in Canadian funds can take 5-10 business days to process.
Cheques in US funds can take 10-15 business days to process.
