BC Provincial Tuition Waiver Program

WHAT IS THE BC PRovincial tuition waiver program:

The Provincial Tuition Waiver Program (PTWP) waives tuition and mandatory fees for BC students attending a BC public post-secondary institution, who are 19 to 26 years of age (inclusive), who were former youth in care for a total of two years or more (consecutive or accumulated) in one or more of the eligible categories.

If your accumulated time in care is less than the two year requirement, but still over one year, please send an email to the SFU YIC Manager at fiassist@sfu.ca for further assistance.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

To apply for the BC Provincial Tuition Waiver Program, complete the following two forms and return them to the Financial Aid and Awards office:

Students enrolled in courses through SFU Continuing Studies should contact SFU Continuing Studies directly, as they use their own process for the BC PTWP.
