YOUR SFU UNDERGRADUATE JOURNEY STARTS HERE!

Refer back to this roadmap to navigate important dates, activities and events that you won't want to miss between now and the first day of classes in May.

February

Start University Prep

  • Go to University Prep, Step 1 to learn tools for course exploration and discover the range of academic opportunities available to you. 

March

Get ready to enroll

  • You will receive an email sent to your non-SFU email address indicating that your SFU computing ID is ready for activation.
  • Complete University Prep, Step 2 to prepare for enrollment and learn how to build a balanced schedule, choose classes using goSFU, and connect with an advisor.

Enroll and submit final documents

April

Learn how to find your people and get involved

  • In SFU 101 you’ll learn how to join your HIVE (Home for Interactive Virtual Engagement) to connect with your peers, engage with your Faculty, and access campus services and supports. A course invitation will be sent to your SFU email in early April.  

May

Attend Welcome Programs

  • May 6: Celebrate the start of the year with your HIVE peers and receive a formal welcome from SFU and your Faculty at Welcome Day
  • Month of Welcome: Attend events and programming designed to help you explore involvement opportunities and support services available to you
  • Pay your tuition and fees

Conditional Offers

We review all conditional offers of admission upon receipt of your final grades – so keep studying! Learn more

Activate your computing ID! 

After you accept your offer of admission by paying your admission deposit, you will receive an email to your non-SFU email address indicating that your SFU computing ID is ready for online activation.  Learn more

MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your SFU account, and it protects your account even if your password is compromised. MFA enrollment is required for students. Secure your account

MICROSOFT 365

Microsoft 365 is a collection of productivity tools that includes the Office apps along with collaboration services like MS Teams and OneDrive. All faculty, staff, and students are eligible to install Office apps for free.
