Open Call: Attend COP31
Applications are now open to attend to the UN COP31 Climate Change Conference, November 9 – 20, 2026 at the ANFAŞ Expo Center in Antalya, Türkiye. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers to participate in technical workshops and sessions, network with researchers from around the world, and engage with the UN ecosystem at COP.
As per UNFCCC process, SFU will submit names of those interested in attending and will receive its observer badge allocation in August or September. Badges will then be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Transportation, accommodation, and all other expenses are not included.

Open to all SFU faculty
How to apply
Please submit a short expression of interest to Kayla Bloc at kaylab@sfu.ca
Please include:
your faculty and area of expertise as it relates to the conference;
if you have attended any UN conference(s) previously; and
specific dates that you would like to attend the conference.
The expression of interest deadline is July 31, 2026, at 4pm. Conference delegates will be required to provide their passport number and other information for registration in the UNFCCC registration portal. Successful applicants will need to apply for a Turkish visa, as required.
