Interested in Participating?

The Undergraduate Research Symposium (UGRS) is an opportunity for eligible undergraduate students from all disciplines to present their original high-calibre research in a friendly and supportive environment for a diverse and interdisciplinary audience.  Presenters are grouped into moderated sessions based on common themes with the aim to promote interdisciplinary connections across subjects. Students are also invited to attend the symposium as attendees where they will have access to a series of panel talks geared towards engaging students as emerging researchers and provoking dynamic and interdisciplinary discussion. 

Eligibility

Current undergraduate students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals for the Symposium. To be eligible for participation, students should meet one or more of the following criteria: 

• Be enrolled in an SFU Honours program or capstone; 
• Have presented their work at SFU faculty or department-sponsored research symposia; 
• Participate in supervised research at SFU.
