Launch Festival is back this June to support and champion emerging artists across the Lower Mainland.
What is Launch Festival?
Launch Festival of Emerging Artists began in 2010 as an event to celebrate and support the work of emerging artists across dance, theatre, music, film and digital arts.
Launch permits the discovery of new artists and helps to promote them in establishing a career in the arts. Selected artists will be given a platform to share creative work and gain feedback, and learn directly from established artists in a masterclass format.
This is a perfect opportunity for emerging artists who are looking to build professional relationships, gain career insights and creative support, and connect with a multidisciplinary community of artists.
A mix of industry-leading artists and arts mentors will be engaged to facilitate the day’s activities and discussions.

Who should apply?
Emerging artists with a practice in any contemporary performance art (including dance, music, theatre, film, digital, interdisciplinary). Artists from diverse and minority backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
Accessibility Note:
Launch Festival 2022 will take place at SFU Woodward’s Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 W Hastings St, Vancouver). The workshop space and nearby washrooms and fully accessible.
