Jackie Timothy is a carver and artist from the Tla’amin First Nation near Powell River, British Columbia and currently lives in Burnaby, British Columbia. He was raised by his grandparents on the Tla’amin Reserve, and describes his art as a way of keeping stories and traditions his grandparents and community elders taught him alive (1). 

Timothy's carvings, both private and cooperative commissions, stand throughout the United States and Canada, including at the Vancouver School of Theology (2), and the city of Powell River Seawalk (3).
