Fall Children & Youth Programs
Junior Judo (8-15 years)
Junior Judo is a recreational practice designed for participation from both parents and kids. The focus is to allow the children to participate in judo-based games, exercises, and activities, and to have fun while playing and learning judo. An extra more technical practice for experienced and advanced juniors is available Monday nights. If you are a returning or advanced student you can register for this invigorating practice.
Advanced Olympic Weight Lifting (16+ years)
Olympic weightlifting instruction will be provided by a fully accredited coach. All technical competitive lifts will be covered including the snatch and the clean and jerk. Individual component lifts such as the power clean, power snatch and push jerk will be involved in the training. Assistance lifts such as squatting and pressing will also be included. Participants will be able to train four times per week, working through an organized training program leading into local and regional competitions.

SFU Men's Basketball Skills Clinic - Players of all skill levels are welcome as coaches can individualize drills to ensure all players enjoy learning the game of basketball. These progressive sessions focus on ball handling, shooting, and passing and each week players will improve their skills, conditioning, and confidence! SFU Basketball Girls Clinic
The SFU Women's Basketball program is excited to offer development training for girls in grades 6-8. The program's focus will be on individual skills development and transferring these skills into game situations. Understanding game concepts and situational decision-making will be a big component through-out this program. This Fall program is ideal for athletes wanting to prepare for their school teams and have had competitive playing experiences in the past. Our goal is a to have a fast-paced learning environment that challenges each athlete to improve.
