Pacific Centre for Isotopic and Geochemical Research
The Pacific Centre for Isotopic and Geochemical Research (PCIGR) has been established at UBC as an integrated analytical facility to provide the full range of state-of-the-art instrumentation for isotopic and geochemical Earth Science researchers in western Canada.
The facility incorporates components of two existing laboratories (TIMS and ICP-MS) at UBC, but also includes completely new instrumentation and much-improved clean laboratories for sample preparation.
The fully integrated nature of the facility, the latest generation of analytical instruments and the breadth of analytical capability available make the PCIGR completely unique in Canada, and indeed in North America.
