Gail Anderson

Criminology professor makes TIME for innovation

Gail Anderson's pioneering research in forensic entomology led TIME magazine to name her one of five international innovators in the field of criminal justice. Anderson, whose professional leadership was also recognized by the Canadian Society of Forensic Science in 2001, applies her knowledge of insect activity on homicide victims to help police pinpoint crucial details such as time of death and whether a body has been moved.
