SFU authors scoop prestigious national book prizes

Humanities professor Stephen Duguid and English professor Carole Gerson won prizes for the best academic books published in Canada last year. Duguid received the Harold Adam Innis prize for best English-language book in the social sciences for Can Prisons Work? Gerson won the Raymond Klibansky award for best English-language book in the humanities for Paddling Her Own Canoe: Times and Texts of E. Pauline Johnson (Tekahionwake), co-authored with Veronica Strong-Boag.
