CanAge provides a tool that informs scams and frauds that older adults are experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Older adults who are on Income or Disability Assistance, Comforts Allowance or BC Senior’s Supplement will automatically receive a $300 supplement on their cheques issued in April, May and June 2020. #BC 

The BC province introduced a new temporary rental supplement, halting evictions and freezing rents. This plan may support older adults in maintaining a comfortable and stable home. #BC
 

The Vancouver Tenants Union is sharing information that may help older adults and caregivers facing financial difficulties due to COVID-19. #BC

Hollyburn Family Services Society helps older adult over 55 that are homeless. #BC

 

BC Hydro introduced a Customer Crisis Fund (CCF) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers dealing with financial crisis may be eligible for a grant payment to avoid disconnection of service. #BC 

ICBC is offering a monthly Autoplan payment plan for customers who are experiencing financial challenges due to the COVID-19 - an option of deferring their payment for up to 90 days with no penalty.
