Software & Data
The webpages below provide free-to-use Excel files containing methods or data that is associated with various projects and research that the lab has been involved with. The pages also contain information on the methods and the corresponding publications.
Maresh Growth Data
New reference values based on the interpolation of the classic Maresh (1970) dataset for use in calculating z-scores for growth studies or other quantitative growth analysis.
Juvenile Age Estimation
Methods for estimating the age at death of juvenile skeletal remains. The protocols include methods for age estimation using measurements of the girdle bones, diaphyseal lengths and the widths of the metaphyses and epiphyses of long bones, dentition (permanent & deciduous tooth length), cranial and mandibular sizes.
Juvenile Stature Estimation
A non-specific method to estimate the stature of juveniles skeletal remains without relying on previous estimations of age, sex, ancestry, or other group statuses. The 5 equations in this method use the maximum diaphyseal lengths of 5 long bones to estimate stature in centimetres.
Juvenile Weight Estimation
Methods for estimating the weight at death of juvenile skeletal remains. The protocols include measurements of the epiphyseal and metaphyseal widths, as well as J values.
