Creating a CLF4 People Directory Page

To display a list of staff or faculty whose profiles were created using a Faculty Profile Page, you can create a directory page.

The page will display specified individuals and key information about them:

  • Picture
  • Name
  • Job title
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Office

How to Create a People Directory Page?

Follow these steps to create your directory:

  1. Add a Basic page to your website that will act as your directory.
  2. Add a List component to your page.
  3. Edit the List component:
    1. Specify how you want to build your directory: Child pages, Fixed list or Advanced search
    2. In Display as choose the Custom option
    3. In Custom Template field, add this path: /content/dam/sfu/assets/custom-lists/clf/faculty-directory.txt
    4. In the CSS Class field add the following: faculty-directory show-thumbnails (show-thumbnails class is optional and should be added if you would like to display thumbnail images)  
    5. Click OK to preview your directory page
    6. Once you're ready to publish your directory, activate the page.
