March 29, 2012

The Compassion in Religion student conference was hosted by Iona Pacific Inter-religious Centre at Vancouver School of Theology. The daylong event featured a keynote speech by Karen Armstrong, a welcome by Chief Joseph Arthur Gosnell Sr., stories about compassion from eight religious traditions, student-led discussions and a nutritious lunch. The more than 220 participants ended the day by presenting key ideas from their inter-religious conversations, centering on compassion, religion and society.
