Compassion in Commerce Luncheon

March 21, 2012

The Compassion in Commerce Vancouver Board of Trade luncheon featured Karen Armstrong in conversation with Carole Taylor, Chancellor of Simon Fraser University and Governor of the Vancouver Board of Trade. The event inspired an audience of 140 leaders in business, government and non-profits to consider how compassion can be integrated in the nitty-gritty realities of the 21st century.

Businesses are leading the growing movement to implement Karen Armstrong's Charter for Compassion, a document that outlines shared moral principles across all religious traditions and calls for a more understanding and peaceful world. That's because good business leaders recognize that caring, constructive and supportive environments are core elements of successful organizations.
