Biography

Margaret's teaching and research interests include 19th-century literature and culture; literary theory; media history and print culture. Publications include chapters in Nineteenth Century Media and the Construction of Identities, Christina Rossetti in Context, and the Blackwell Companion to Victorian Poetry. Most recently she is co-editor of a collection of essays Media, Technology, Literature in the Nineteenth-Century: Image, Sound, Touch.
