Funding
Undergraduate students in English are eligible for a number of different scholarships, awards, and bursaries. This funding is thanks to many generous donors over the years who have created endowments to support the English department and its excellent students.

We currently accepting applications for the:
- Jane Austen Society Prize
- Dr. M. Sheila O'Connell Undergraduate Prize in Children's Literature
- Betty Lambert Memorial Prize
Please send your application packages to: englgen@sfu.ca no later than Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 to be considered. Please also make sure you specify in your email subject line and application package which award(s) you are applying for.

Upcoming: Apply for Bursaries April 29th-May 17th, 2024
You do not need to specify the individual bursaries for which you want to apply. If you are eligible, you will be considered for all available bursaries.
To apply for a bursary, you must:
- Have demonstrated financial need (as assessed by SFU)
- Be enrolled in a minimum of nine units of standard graded courses in the term of application
