History Undergraduate Student Georgia Twiss receives 2018 George Paris Award in Scottish Studies
History Major and Honours Student Georgia Twiss was recently announced as this year's recipient of the George Paris Award for Scottish Studies.
Georgia is currently completing her honours thesis on the history of municipal architecture in nineteenth century Glasgow, which she discovered a passion for in Dr. Katie McCullough's course, History 237 Scotland 1707-present.
She is also a contributor for scotsinbritishcolumbia.com exploring, among other topics, the kind of fascinating cultural fusion we see in British Columbia today in pieces such as “‘Gung Haggis Fat Choy’: The Evolution of Burns Suppers in Vancouver.”
Please join us in congratulating Georgia!
