Shu Liu is a Master’s student in School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University under the supervision of Dr. Richard Frank. Her research interests focus on cryptomarkets and the dark web. Her thesis examines how location affects the shipment and availability of drug products. She hopes to provide insight on the process of drug shipping by vendors on cryptomarkets. Shu is a research assistant at the International CyberCrime Research Centre (ICCRC) and works on multiple projects relating to cryptomarkets and the dark web. She plays an important role in the data collection component of the Understanding the Drug and Firearms Dark Web Markets project at the ICCRC.
