About Us

The School of Public Policy at Simon Fraser University (SFU) researches and trains students to tackle society’s most urgent and complex public policy issues, including those surrounding health, housing, labour markets, supply chains, economic inequality, social inequity, Indigenous rights, and climate change.

Established in 2003, the School is located within the Harbour Centre building on SFU’s vibrant downtown Vancouver campus. The School’s faculty combine knowledge from several academic disciplines—including economics, law, political science, architecture, and public health— and deep professional experience to produce cutting-edge policy to further the public interest. We work closely with federal, provincial, and local governments, as well as academics, journalists, and policy actors across Canada and globally.

The School is home to the SFU Master of Public Policy program and Undergraduate Minor in Public Policy.
