Who should apply?
The MPP program is for those who are passionate about shaping public policy, who seek to develop their leadership skills, and who aspire to make an impact in government, nonprofit, or private sectors. Ideal candidates are those with a strong interest in political science, economics, and research methods, and who are committed to creating meaningful change in public policy. Learning outcomes
The MPP program equips students for leadership roles in government, private, and nonprofit sectors. Students collaborate with peers, faculty, and policy organizations to develop and apply public policy solutions. The program blends interdisciplinary academics with practical experience through co-op placements and joint projects. Graduates excel in analyzing data, evaluating policies, and addressing issues like climate change, inequality, and global governance.
Future outlooks
Our alumni are leaders in the policy landscape, known for their practical skills and effective policy analysis. With 50% securing jobs before graduation and 90% within a year, our graduates work in Indigenous governance, public sector roles, research, academia, nonprofits, health authorities, and private firms.
