Heritage Questionnaire
In the spring of 2021, we administered a heritage survey to Lasqueti Islanders to better understand what they think about a range of Indigenous heritage issues.
The results of the survey are in!
Here are some highlights:
- People believe strongly in the value of protecting Indigenous heritage including archaeological heritage
- People want to do the right thing, but are worried about implications for their own property
- People see protecting Indigenous heritage as part of reconciliation
- In general, the responses were overwhelmingly positive
