SFU Woodwards is screening the new film Angry Inuk on Wednesday October 25, 2017 as part of an Indigenous film festival.

The film is a beautiful Inuit response to animal rights organizations' attacks on Inuit subsistence seal hunting.

The filmmaker Alethea Arnaquq-Baril is part of a new generation of female Inuit activists who use digital arts to promote Inuit culture and values.

This screening is part of Aabiziingwashi (Wide Awake): NFB Indigenous Cinema on Tour. Throughout 2017, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) is offering the films in its exceptional collection of 250+ Indigenous-made works to all Canadians — for community screenings!
