Consumer Disclosure

As per the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008, the U.S. Department of Education requires institutions offering U.S. Direct Lend loans to disclose consumer information. SFU’s Financial Aid and Awards office will compile consumer information annually and make this available each April: SFU's 2021 Consumer Disclosure Information Disclosure booklet. If you have any questions about the content, please contact the Financial Aid and Awards office.

SFU enters into an agreement with you, the Student, or the Parent Borrower (for Parent PLUS Loan holders), regarding your U.S. Federal Direct Loan. SFU utilizes the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) to regularly report on and provide student enrollment status and updates. Students and parent borrowers can also track and manage their federal student loans through the NSLDS Student Access website.
