Join us for a vibrant, social and celebratory reunion where you can reconnect with friends, classmates, faculty and staff from the early years of SFU– those that made and continue to make SFU home.

What we're working on:

Here are just a few things we’ve planned, so far:

An outdoor campus tour that will take you from end-to-end of campus (shuttle transportation included).
Photos, interactive displays and videos that celebrate the first 10 years of SFU’s history.
A chance to meet current SFU President Joy Johnson during the evening reception.

We are offering an alternative to the campus tour through our partners at SFU Archives. Attendees can choose to participate in a guided tour of the archives holdings and pieces of SFU’s history. Space is limited and will prioritize those who require mobility and accessibility accommodations – please contact alumni4@sfu.ca to inquire about this option.

Joining us? Bring photos!

Do you have a photo of yourself from your time as a student? Bring a hardcopy photo of yourself from the 60s-70s to help spot former classmates. Photos will be added to an on-site display and will be returned to you at the end of the event.

How to stay informed

Charter & early years newsletter: We are sending out a monthly newsletter to all those who were part of the first 10 years of SFU's history. It'll include: details about the event, an opportunity to help shape the event through polls and simple surveys, photos/videos from the first decade, and more.

Alumni newsletter: We will include reminders in the monthly newsletter that is emailed to all alumni.

Social media: We will post reminders and event updates across different platforms. We also created a Facebook group page so that all the charter and early years folks can reconnect.

This website: Check back regularly as we'll add event details, updates, FAQs, past issues of the charter & early years newsletter, and more!
