As an SFU alumnus, you can still access some campus benefits and services including:
Alumni Email Forwarding
Your SFU email (aka Student email storage accounts) remain active for one year from the end of the last semester in which you were registered for classes. You will receive a notification email from SFU's IT Services department four weeks prior to your account expiring, and a second notice two weeks prior to the expiry date.
When your account expires you will only lose access to SFU Connect - including any of your stored emails. Ensure that you transfer your data well in advance to avoid disappointment. To learn how to migrate your existing SFU Connect email data to an external email account please visit IT SERVICES info page.
However, you can continue to receive emails that are sent to your @sfu.ca email address by registering your account for the Alumni Email Forwarding Service. This is a free message relay service and is intended for those who already have an email account with an external email service provider (e.g. Gmail). It is not an email storage account.

An official transcript is a complete record of your academic history at Simon Fraser University up until the day the transcript is produced. It lists classes in progress, courses you have taken, grades received, credentials awarded and other information relating to your undergraduate and graduate academic career at SFU. Course work taken at other institutions that is being credited towards your program at SFU will not appear on your official transcript, but it will list the name of the institution at which transfer credit was taken as well as the total number of transfer credit received.
All official transcripts are printed on security paper with the Simon Fraser University seal and signature of the Registrar. Official transcripts are available to current students, former students and alumni. All outstanding accounts must be cleared before an official transcript is released.
All transcripts are confidential and can only be released by request from a student or alumnus. To ensure security and privacy, SFU does not accept transcript requests by phone.
SFU alumni are able to use wireless service on campus using SFUNET, plus wireless services at other schools who participate in Eduroam. To access wireless on any SFU campus, simply connect to SFUNET and open a web browser. You should be directed to enter your SFU ID and password, at which point you'll need to enter your SFU Computing ID and password. Currently there are no traffic restrictions for SFUNET and it should support all wireless devices.
Note: Alumni who graduated prior to April 2009 may need to reactivate their SFU computing ID to access online services. This may involve registering for our email forwarding services. Information on Email forwarding. Still need help? email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 778-782-4048
