Hi! My name is Samin. I'm in my fourth year of computer engineering. I joined WiE because it is a great community where I had the opportunity to meet amazing people and make friends. I love to inspire young women to join STEM and follow their dreams. A fun fact about me is that I love ice cream and I believe there is no problem that ice cream can't solve.

Taaibah Malik

Taaibah is a second year ENSC student who is interested in Computer and Systems Engineering. She loves to read, watch Criminal Minds, hike, and adores animals. She enjoys working with the WiE team to expand the presence of women in STEM, as well as contributing to and being part of an inclusive community.

Christina Nguyen

Biography

Christina is a third-year Sustainable Energy Engineering student. She loves to read, watch k-dramas, and spend time with her cat, Soup. As Dir. of Communications and Social Media, she hopes to encourage young women to pursue a career in STEM and help provide an inclusive environment for everyone in engineering.

Palak Sharma

Biography

Palak is a second year engineering student, majoring in computer engineering. She is passionate about working for female empowerment and education, and hopes to make the STEM fields more inclusive through her work as the VP External. In her free time, Palak loves to read, spend time in nature, and hopes to go backpacking around the world one day.

Wajihah is a second-year student who plans on majoring in Computer or Electronics Engineering. Through WiE’s outreach programs and workshops, she hopes to empower and support others so everyone has a positive experience pursuing engineering!

Biography

Daphne is a third year engineering student, majoring in electronics. Through WiE, she found an interest in helping women have a more comfortable experience while studying engineering. As the director of creative for WiE, she uses her creativity and love for design to evoke change.

Sierra Carmichael

Biography

Sierra is a second-year Engineering Science student who is passionate about promoting and supporting women in engineering. As the undergrad rep, she hopes to organize and plan events for the engineering undergraduate community that will bring women together, to help build connections and gain confidence in their technical skills. Outside of school and work, Sierra likes to explore the outdoors and travel. She hopes to one day visit every continent.

Hi! My name Rose. I'm in my third year of computer engineering. I joined WiE to help inspire the next generation of female engineers, and make a positive impact for other female engineering students here at SFU! My favourite thing about WiE is the community and the people that are a part of it. In my spare time, I love being with friends and chasing sunsets:)

Sundus is a second year student majoring in computer engineering. As a part of the club, she hopes to encourage young girls to be confident in their STEM abilities and inspire them to pursue engineering in the future. She loves to read YA fantasy books and bake cupcakes in her free time.

Hello, my name is Shreeya and I am in my 2nd year pursuing Business Administration. I was also inspired to join WiE because it is a woman's inspired group which empowers other woman in the engineering field which I appreciated. I took on this role because I wanted to gain experience from a finance like perspective and I can't wait to see what is in store for WiE.
