For University Highlands students, care is provided before and after school. School Age care at Sapperton is provided to those attending Seaforth Elementary and Armstrong Elementary.

Full-day childcare is also provided to the students of both schools on school holidays, including the winter break, spring break, and summer break. Learning and practicing life skills such as high self-esteem and positive social skills are the focus for this age group through play. Learning to become positive contributing citizens through creativity and fun is also enphasized. Children participate in setting rules and planning the program activities. A special effort is made to facilitate transition between home, school and the childcare centre.

Summer activities include hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, games, co-operative play, theme days and sports.
