    Xiaoting Sun joins the Department of Economics as an Assistant Professor
    This fall, Xiaoting Sun will be joining the Department of Economics to teach a first-year PhD econometrics course, Econometrics Theory I (Econ 837). In spring 2020, she will teach two undergraduate courses: one is Statistical Analysis of Economic Data (Econ 333) and selected topics in economics: Market Design.

    Dongwoo Kim joins the Department of Economics
    Dongwoo Kim will be joining the Department of Economics at Simon Fraser University this July as an assistant professor. Most recently, he was a teaching assistant at University College London in England, where he earned his master’s of science (2014), his master’s of research (2015) and his PhD (2019) all in economics.

    SFU Equilibrium: Kevin Schnepel on the Economics of Crime
    Kevin Schnepel is a new faculty member in SFU's Economics department, moving over here last year from the University of Sydney. In this conversation with PhD student Marieh Azizirad, he describes his interesting and roundabout path to economics and, in particular, the economics of crime.
