With its state of the art facilities and world-renowned faculty, the School of Engineering Science provides an outstanding environment for graduate study and research. Our students enjoy the beauty of British Columbia’s mountains and ocean, and the amenities of one of the world’s most livable cities. Through a well-established co-op program, graduate students also have the opportunity to broaden their education and gain valuable work experience - locally, across Canada, and abroad.
We offer three graduate degrees:
- Master of Engineering (MEng) – course-based Masters degree
- Master of Applied Science (MASc) – research-based Masters degree
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) – research-based Doctoral degree
In addition, for current undergraduate students in the School of Engineering Science, we offer a concurrent BASc-MASc program.
MASc and PhD applicants are expected to identify a Senior Supervisor prior to admission. We encourage MASc and PhD applicants to get in touch with faculty members in their intended area of research and explore the possibilities for collaboration. Applicants to the MEng program do not need to identify the Supervisor prior to admission.
