Funding Sources
Our faculty research funding has grown significantly in the past several years, from $6.6 million in 2008-09 to $16 million in 2014-15.
To continue our leading-edge work, our researchers receive support through government grants, federal networks of excellence, university endowments, donations, grants and not-for-profit and for-profit organizations searching for additional R&D support. Our strong collaboration with industry has led us to develop ground-breaking solutions that will be applied in the marketplace.
Altogether, these funds have supported emerging technology, from using microscopic nanotechnology in the fight agains counterfeiting, to breakthrough research on genomes that could one day help predict the likelihood of hereditary diseases.
