FAS SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

CHECKLIST BEFORE YOU APPLY

1. Check you meet eligibility criteria for:

Scholarships

✓ Have completed a minimum of 12 units at SFU
✓ Be enrolled in at least 12 academic units in the term the scholarship is offered.*
✓ Have a minimum CPGA of 3.5 at SFU

Awards

✓  Be enrolled in at least 9 academic units in the term the award is offered*
✓  Have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 at SFU (waived in your first term at SFU), and be in good academic standing

* 6 unit minimum allowed for students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning.

Students in their first semester at SFU may be eligible to waive the CGPA requirement for specific awards dependent on the terms of reference. 

2. Check you meet ALL conditions listed in the Terms of Reference

  • Conduct a keyword search on the Financial Aid and Awards database. Your application will not be considered if you do not meet ALL conditions listed in the terms of reference.

3. Apply 

  • You will be able to apply below during the application periods for each semester. 

4. Attach ALL required documentation needed for application

  • The information required for each award and scholarship is listed in the application form. Incomplete applications will be closed without review.

SUMMER

Applications required:
  • Computing Science Undergraduate Student Society Award (UEAO042), TBD x $3000
  • Basil Peters Electronic Engineering Scholarship (UESO239), 1 x $1600

Based solely on academics: [Students do not need to apply]

  • Computing Science Graduation Award (UEAO0529), 1 x $2800
  • VTech Graduation Prize in Engineering Science (UEAO544), 1 x $1000

Engineering Undergraduate Student Project Award (UEAO535)
