SFU APPLIED SCIENCES IS FOR YOU: CAMPUS VISIT FOR BLACK YOUTH

In partnership with the Black Women Business Network (BWBN), SFU Faculty of Applied Sciences would like to invite interested African, Caribbean, and Black youth in grades 8, 9, & 10, come and explore the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the SFU Surrey Campus Sustainable Energy Engineering building. The event will include a guided tour of the building, a complimentary lunch and presentation from an advisor to learn more about the Faculty of Applied Sciences programs at SFU, and a hands-on activity related to applied science.

COMPANY TOUR: SVANTE

Svante: The Centre of Excellence for Carbon Capture & Removal

The Faculty of Applied Sciences would like to invite students who have received an Offer of Admission to the Sustainable Energy Engineering program to partake in a tour of Svante; one of the leaders in carbon capture and removal solutions.

As part of the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with SFU Advisors, current students, and Faculty members. Complimentary lunch and transportation will also be provided.

Due to the limited capacity at Svante, this tour only has space for 25 student participants, and as such, only invitees can register.

COMPANY TOUR: HUMAN IN MOTION ROBOTICS

The Faculty of Applied Sciences is thrilled to host Human in Motion Robotics Tour for Mechatronic Systems Engineering applicants.

On this tour we hope to show you what a degree in Mechatronic Systems Engineering can lead to, and how SFU can provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide a real-world impact. By registering, your day will begin with a tour of the Human in Motion Robotics facilities. Then you will we will have lunch at the location where you can mingle with current students in the program. Human in Motion Robotics was founded by two SFU professors, Dr. Siamak Arzanpour and Dr. Edward Park. Their aim was to create a breakthrough in current exoskeleton technology that empowers individuals with motion disabilities to walk freely, naturally, and independently.

Due to the limited capacity at Human in Motion Robotics, this tour only has space for 20 student participants, and as such, only invitees can register.
